This tour show you most of the beautyful place in the North of Vietnam, update information of scenery , the food , the custom and the typical of the areas.

Day 1: Arrival  Hanoi city  (D)

Picked up by our guide at the Noi Bai airport and then be transferred to your hotel in the center of city. Enjoy a brief driving orientation tour of Hoa Kiem Lake, the French Quarter and Old Quarter of Hanoi en – route to your hotel.
You can use the next few hours to rest or explore the surroundings on your own or take a Cyclo ride through the Old Town of Hanoi.
Hanoi, a city between the rivers, built from lowland, Hanoi has many scenic lakes and sometime is called “city of lakes”. Among its lakes, the most famous are Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake, Bay Mau Lake…As the capital of Vietnam for almost a thousand years, Hanoi is considered to be the cultural centre of Vietnam, where every dynasty has left behind their imprint. Even though some relics have not survived through wars and time, the city still has many interesting cultural and historic monuments for visitors and residents alike…

Day 2: Hanoi city tour (B,L)

In the morning we will visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, His House on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, the outside of the Presidential Palace and the Temple of Literature which was Vietnam’s first University. In the afternoon we will go to the intriguing Ethnology Museum followed by an hour on a cyclo (a pedal rickshaw) being taken round the old quarter of Hanoi. Then we can enjoy the ancient and unique water-puppet show.

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay  (B, L, D)

Halong bay308:00: Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi and drive to Halong bay by shuttle bus through scenic countryside areas.
12:15 Transfer by tender to the Indochina Sails boat – enjoy Welcome Drink. Receive cruise briefing and check in to cabins and begin cruise.
13:00 Lunch – deluxe Vietnamese and International Set Menu.
Massage service is available beginning after lunch and
throughout the cruise.
14.30 Arrive at Titov Island. Enjoy swimming, relaxing on the beach and climbing the steps to the top of the mountain on the island for fantastic views and photo opportunities. Water and towels supplied. We will spend about one hour on the island.
15.30 Transfer back to the boat and sail for approximately 45 minutes to our second destination – the Bat Cave area.
16.30 Arrive at the Bat Cave area. There are two programs to choose from at this time. One option is a 40 minute kayaking program to the nearby Bat Cave and lagoon and surrounding waters. Visit the largest floating fishing village in Halong Bay. We will travel to the village on the tender and tour the village for approximately 20 minutes.
18:30 Arrive at Luon Bo area – anchor for overnight.
19:00 Dinner – deluxe Vietnamese & Western Buffet or Set Menu Dinner.
20:30 Evening activities include: film entertainment in the dining room at approximately 9:15, board games and playing cards are available, join squid fishing from the boat with our crew, massage services are available.

Day 4: Halong Bay- Hanoi – night train to Sapa (B,L)

6:30: Enjoy Tai Chi instruction on the sundeck (duration about 30 minutes).
6:45: Coffee, tea and breakfast pastries served in the dining room.
7:00: Arrive at the Surprise Cave.
8:00: Transfer by tender to the Surprise Cave. Walk up the 100 steps to the entrance of the cave and tour on foot for approximately 45 minutes.
9:00: Upon return to the boat take time to freshen up and please check-out of cabins. Please leave heavy luggage outside of the cabins (staff will transfer to the pier). Depart for Bai Chay/Halong pier.
9:30: Enjoy Breakfast Set Menu or Buffet served in the dining room. Settle bills in the dining room after breakfast.
10:00: Relax on the sundeck or in the dining room and enjoy the bay scenery as we approach the pier.
10:45: Arrive at Halong pier.
11:00: Transfer by tender to the pier, relax inside the pier building while waiting for return transportation.
Arrive to Hanoi city at around 4:30pm. Drop off at your hotel. Rest of time is free at leisure.
20:00: our guide comes to your hotel, transfer to Hanoi train station for your night train to Laocai.

Day 5: Sapa – Cat Cat – Sin Chai village (B,L,D)

Cat Cat – Sin Chai villageThe train will pull in in the morning at Lao Cai station, near the border of China, you will be met by your guide for the 38 miles drive to Sapa, the premier destination of northwest Vietnam.
Enjoy your breakfast and relax at a local restaurant. Then venture out to discover the beautiful mountain landscapes and ethnic minority groups of Sapa. Your guide will take you on a 2 hours trekking to the village of Cat Cat and Sin Chai from here you will trek down to the valley among the terraced fields and meet the hill tribes people, get to know their way of life, cultures and traditions. Get back to Sapa town in the afternoon. Stay over night at the hotel in Sapa town.

Day 6: Sapa – Y Linh Ho village, Lao Chai village, Ta Van village – Night train to Hanoi (B, L, D)

A whole day for discover of nature as well as different culture of hill tribe people on a new trek in Sapa.
We will begin with a walking tour of Sapa market, then trekking downhill from villages to villages around Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai and Ta Van area which is beautifully decorated by terraced-fields and the house of H’mong, Red Zao and Zay people. You have several levels for your trekking today from soft trek 2-3miles, medium trek (3-4 miles) and hard trek (5 miles +).
Great opportunity for taking photos of breathtaking landscapes, meeting friendly hill-tribe people at home and work…
Have home hosted lunch in the village of Zday people.
Later in the afternoon Jeep or Van will take you back to Lao Cai for the night train to Hanoi. Soft-sleeper, wooden 4-berth sharing cabin on tourist carriage train.

Day 7 : Hoa Lu Tam Coc 1 day tour (B, L)

Early morning: arrive in Hanoi train station. Pick up and transfer to a hotel in Hanoi. Refresh, bring you back to the shape! Early check-in and breakfast at hotel included. 8:00am leave the hotel at Hanoi. About 10:30am arrive at Hoa Lu Ancient Capital. In 968, Dinh Bo Linh declared himself as the King. Since then Hoa Lu existed as the capital for the next 41 years (968 – 1009), of which 12 years was under the Dinh dynasty – King Dinh Tien Hoang, the country named Dai Co Viet, and 29 years later was under the Le dynasty – King Le Dai Hanh. In 1010, The visit offers a chance to know more about part of feudal dynasties and historical periods in Vietnamese history.
11:30 leave Hoa Lu to Tam Coc at around 12:00pm. Having lunch in Tam Coc in a local restaurant and enjoy lunch served with goat meat which is famous as the local specialty .
13:30, 5 minute-walk to the boat station and start the 2hour-boat trip to visit Tam Coc. The boat trip is a nice journey along the river with peaceful scenery of limestone mountains, rice paddy and the site of some temples along the way from Hang Ca (first cave) to Hang Hai (second cave) and Hang Ba (third cave).
4:00pm leave Tam Coc and drive back to Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi at 6:30pm. Finish unforgettable full day trip at your hotel in Hanoi.

Day 8: Hanoi – Ba Be lake (B,L,D) Ba Be lake 5

Depart at 7am in the morning from Hanoi and drive to Babe national park. On the way we make several stops when ever you want to take photos and visit beautiful sights and villages along the way. We arrive in Babe at noon. We have lunch on the Babe lakeshore in local restaurant, after lunch we will go a boat trip for 3 hours to visit Babe Lake and row kayaking at Pelu bay, have dinner and stay overnight in a local Tay minority family in their traditional wooden stilt house

Day 9: Ba Be lake  – Hanoi (B, L)

After breakfast we go past Ba Be forest, you can discover spectacular rivers, deep valleys, natural caves undulating mountains, On the way, we stop at Huama cave to see one of the most biggest cave in Vietnam, you can compare with Phong Nha – Ke Bang, then drive back to Hanoi. On the way, we also pay a visit to the Thai Nguyen minority and Culture Museum where we can learn something about the culture and traditions of the different minority groups in Vietnam. Have lunch in a local restaurant on the way. We arrive in Hanoi at about 8 P.M and the car will drop you off at the Hotel.

Day 10: Hanoi Duong Lam ancient city 1 day (B, L)

08.00 Guide and car pick up guests at hotel then transfer to Duong lam ancient village about 50km away from Hanoi
09.00 Stopover on the way to visit Son Dong traditional sculpture village. The Son Dong wooden statues are present in many pagodas and communal houses in the Northern provinces. Visit some households in the village, see mastered the technique of making wooden statues. Walk along village road to visit Son Dong communal house and survey Viet traditional cultural with the cult of fecundityduong lam1
09:30 Continue to drive to Duong Lam
10:15 Arrive Duong Lam, visit village gate, Mong Phu communal house, some ancient houses and enjoy local products: rice wine, rice cake. Go around the village to visit some cultural and historical vestiges in Duong Lam such as: Giang Van Minh worship-house, Princess Mia palace and Temple, Mia pagoda
12:30 Lunch at the Hoa sua restaurant by Son Tay ancient citadel. Free time for visiting ancient citadel
14:00 Transfer back to Hanoi
15:00 Stopover on the way to visit Tay Phuong pagoda- the best example of old typical pagoda in the Northern of Viet nam, special with Arhan statue
16:30 Visit Van Phuc silk village. Experience the process of making silk from beginning to end, and the making of conical hats. Touch Van Phuc silk which is famous for making traditional textiles throughout Vietnam and overseas. See the silk from cocoons made into fine silk threads. Wander local market in Van Phuc village
18:30 Drop guests at hotel. End the services

Day 11: Hanoi- Mai Chau home stay (B, L, D)

08:00: Pick up from your hotel and head west towards Hoa Binh to have refreshment
10:00: Leave Hoa Binh for Mai Chau Valley, about 2hrs away, stop for snapping pictures.
12:00: Arrive in Mai Chau and have lunch in a family house in the local village.
14:00: Bicycle around the surrounding villages of White Thai Ethnic people. Learn more about their lives and cultures as your guide can help answer any questions.
18:00: Dinner with the family, get a closer look into their real life. Drink “ruou can” (traditional alcohol) with your new family. Stay at local house.

Day 12: Mai Chau – Hanoi (B, L)

Mai ChauThe early morning is the most peaceful time to walk aroud the villages. See women prepare foods on the wooden fire while the sun is rising over the beautiful mountains.
7:30: Breakfast in the village then walk to Mai Chau market then climb to 1000 Step Cave. The cave is breathtaking and so is the view of the area from the entrance of the cave.
12:00: Have lunch in the village before getting on the bus back to Hanoi.
17:00: Back to your hotel on Hanoi and finish the trip.

Day 13: Hanoi ceramic village, silk village (B, L)

On the left bank of Red river and about 10 km from Hanoi in East (in Gia Lam District, Hanoi), there situated a pottery village, which is the most famous and long-standing pottery village in Vietnam for its name of Bat Trang.
8:30am. Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi, driver to Bat Trang, the famous village is situated approx 15 outside of Hanoi, surrounded by fertile farmland. Watch the artisans forming, painting and glazing their products, which are then baked for several days in huge kilns.
12:00pm. Lunch at local restaurant!
1:30pm drive to discover full afternoon in the silk village of Van Phuc. Taking photos & shopping there until 4:30pm. Leaving Van Phuc Silk Village to hotel. Arrive hotel at 5:00pm. Finish the trip at your hotel in Hanoi.
