Trekking to Suoi Ho village to see tea plantations and cardamom gardens. Follow the buffalo trails to visit the hospitable villages of the Black Hmong minority people in Ma Tra,Ta Phin villages to visit Red Dao people and handicraft shops, take a dirt road which leads up into the mountains through Pine Tree forests and villages that surround the tiny markets. Flower H’mong, Tu Di, Tay and Giay ethnic minorities come to trade local products such as food, agricultural supplies and fabric.

Day1: Hanoi – Lao Cai
08:00 Pick up at the hotel in Hanoi transfer to Hanoi Railways Station for the night train to Lao Cai.
Day 2: Lao Cai – Sapa – Suoi Ho – Matra- Ta phin villages-Sapa.
Arrive in Lao Cai around 5:30 a.m. We will take 1 hour van ride uphill to the beautiful town of Sapa. You have breakfast at the hotel or local restaurant before walking about 12km along the mountain trails or main road to visit Suoi Ho, Matra and Taphin villages which are inhabited by Black Hmong and Red Dzao tribes. Along the way we can come in some schools as well as tribal houses to have experience of local Sapa life. Moreover, the landscape, culture, custom and tradition of Black Hmong tribe of Suoi Ho and Matra villages are preserved from tourists so you can study the raw things here. Picnic lunch will be served on the way at the home stay in Taphin village before being transported to Sapa by car. You will stay overnight at hotel in Sapa town.
Day 3: Sapa – Cao Son market – Lao Cai (Wednesday market )
We will leave Sapa for Cao Son Market at 8 am which only open on Wednesday. You will enjoy the beautiful scenery along the road until you arrive in Muong Khuong town. From there, you turn into a dirt road, which goes up in mountains. Pine trees forest, villages surround tiny market. Flower Hmong, Tay, Dzay, Tu di ethnic minorities come to buy and sell local products such as food and material for agriculture and fabric. After exploring the market, your car will take you heading to Tin Thang village – the most stunning part of Lao Cai province. Lunch in local restaurant you will visit the most secluded, peaceful villages and have the opportunity to observe traditional practices such as distilling wine from corn and making bacon. You will be offered a special corn cake when you drop by local houses. You will be transferred to Lao Cai station to catch the night train back to Hanoi.
