Ba Be is Vietnam’s largest natural lake and is now the centrepiece of an extensive National Park. The park and the surrounding area is limestone country, so lakes, waterfalls, caves and unusual rock formations abound. The whole area is richly forested and is home to many ethnic minority communities. Ba Be National Park has been recognized as a Natural World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
This tour offers you a fun combined adventure at easy grade. It is suitable for anyone at reasonable lever of personal fitness. The highlights of this tour include of paddling on the lake, jungle trek and homestay.
Day 1 : Hanoi – Ba be lake (250km) (L,D)
We depart at around 7 A.M in the morning from Hanoi and drive to Babe national park. On the way we make several stops when ever you want to take photos and visit beautiful sights and villages along the way. We arrive in Babe at noon. We have lunch on the Babe lakeshore in local restaurant, after lunch we will go a boat trip for 3 hours to visit Babe Lake and row kayaking at Pelu bay, have dinner and stay overnight in a local Tay minority family in their traditional wooden stilt house
Day2: Hua Ma cave & Hanoi (B,L)
After breakfast we go past Ba Be forest, you can discover spectacular rivers, deep valleys, natural caves undulating mountains, On the way, we stop at Huama cave to see one of the most biggest cave in Vietnam, you can compare with Phong Nha – Ke Bang, then drive back to Hanoi. On the way, we also pay a visit to the Thai Nguyen minority and Culture Museum where we can learn something about the culture and traditions of the different minority groups in Vietnam. Have lunch in a local restaurant on the way. We arrive in Hanoi at about 8 P.M and the car will drop you off at the Hotel.
