DETAIL ITINERARY
Night 1: Hanoi -Laocai ( Overnight on the train )
20h00: Your tour guide will pick up you at the the hotel in Hanoi transfer to Hanoi Railways Station for the night train to Lao Cai, around 9 hrs on train.
Day 1: Lao Cai – Bac Ha market (Sunday) – Sapa (B, L)
After meeting a guide at the Lao Cai railway station we have breakfast there and go to the Bac Ha market for two hours by a van (AC). This is the largest market in the region, a place where many ethnic groups gather to buy and sell, eat and drink together. There are 10 minority groups in the Bac Ha region. You can buy homemade handicrafts and clothes. visit the huge Bac Ha Market where is always a riot of colorful costumes with the ethnic people: Flower H’Mong, Dao Tuyen and Phu La. All get together here to buy and sell their products. Bac Ha market is a big market crowded with people from many different hill-tribes. This is the most colorful market in North Vietnam. Here, you have chance to enjoy the Bac Ha people’s simple but unique kinds of food with special wines made from rice, cassavas, corn and different sorts of fruits such as plums, apples and peaches.
After visiting market, visit the H’Mong Kings house (King Hoang A Tuong). Visit another Ban Pho village before going to Sapa. Stop over for see the Vietnamese and Chinese Harbor Mouth in Lao Cai. Over night in Sapa town.
Day 2 : Sapa – Lao Chai village – Ta Van Village (B,L,D)
AM; Breakfast start at 10h30am to get to Lao Chai village. Enjoy the overall pictures of the villages among terraces. Visit the H’mong living in wooden and bamboo houses. Continue going to Ta Van village to visit the Dzay minority. Stay the night in Ta Van village at a Dzay family. Picnic lunch on the way and dinner at the home-stay.
Day 3 : Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai village – Sapa – Lao Cai – Hanoi (B,L,D)
Get up early in the morning to enjoy the daily life of the ethnic minorities in the village. Breakfast; take the road to Giang Ta Chai village of the Red Dzao minority via the paths between terraces and through bamboo forests. Visit silver waterfall and suspension Rattan Bridge, visit the people in the village and then cross Muong Hoa River up to the mountain to visit the last village of the trek – Supan village of the H’mong. Get back to Sapa by jeep. On the way back, enjoy visiting the ancient stone circle where stones are decorated with ancient carvings.
Free to explore the town until take bus to get to Lao Cai Station for the night train back to Hanoi.
Arrive in Hanoi around 5.00 AM. The end of the tour.
