Bac Ha is one of the biggest Market on Sapa and open on Sunday only. Belong to Bac Ha district, far from Lao Cai city about 60 kilometers. Bac Ha is the largest fair of Sapa. It’s not only the trading center but it’s also the place for couples, friends and relatives. At this market every thing on sales: Pig, dog, cat, houres… so it make this market hotter on Sunday.

Night 1: Hanoi -Laocai ( Overnight on the train )

20h00: Your tour guide will pick up you at the the hotel in Hanoi transfer to Hanoi Railways Station for the night train to Lao Cai, around 9 hrs on train.

Day 1: Lao Cai-Bac Ha market (Sunday) – Sapa (B, L)

After meeting a guide at the Lao Cai railway station we have breakfast there and go to the Bac Ha market for two hours by a van (AC). This is the largest market in the region, a place where many ethnic groups gather to buy and sell, eat and drink together. There are 10 minority groups in the Bac Ha region. You can buy homemade handicrafts and clothes. visit the huge Bac Ha Market where is always a riot of colorful costumes with the ethnic people: Flower H’Mong, Dao Tuyen and Phu La. All get together here to buy and sell their products. BacHa market is a big market crowded with people from many different hill-tribes. This is the most colorful market in North Vietnam. Here, you have chance to enjoy the BacHa people’s simple but unique kinds of food with special wines made from rice, cassavas, corn and different sorts of fruits such as plums, apples and peaches.
After visiting market, visit the H’Mong Kings house (King Hoang A Tuong). Visit another Ban Pho village before going to Sapa. Stop over for see the Vietnamese and Chinese Harbor Mouth in Lao Cai. Over night in Sapa town

Day 2 : Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van (B, L)

After having breakfast, trekking through lush rice – terraces towards Lao Chai village, enjoy delicious lunch in the local house near by Muong Hoa River, experiencing Black H’mong people’s daily life and traditional culture. Next cross suspension bridges as you walk through Lao Chai village to Ta Van village inhabited by Zay minorities exhibiting strong Chinese culture. Bus ride returns to Sapa.
Take a fresh shower in the hotel before heading to Lao Cai train station for the night train back to Hanoi.
